MY STYLE OF DOING BUSINESS…

I have learned over the years that my personality and style of doing business has been very well received, but I also have learned it may not suit everyone. So to help you decide if I might be the right Realtor for you, I have decided to provide a candid profile of me to let you know what to expect.

Who I am -
In general I am friendly, easy to talk to, and act in a respectful professional manner. I am tactful and assertive, but not aggressive and pushy. I consider myself a very good negotiator, using finesse instead of aggression. I am patient and a very good communicator. I take the time to explain things so that my Buyers can make informed and educated decisions. I take the time to stay in touch throughout the transaction in an effort to minimize the stress levels as the transaction evolves. I also consider myself above average in the many uses that computers offer in the Real Estate world.

Who I am not -
Some people prefer an "A-type personality", aggressive pushy Realtor, and I respect that choice. If that’s what you prefer, then chances are I’m not your guy, because that's not me. Quite frankly I would rather you know this about me up front, rather than for either of us to waste valuable time! But if my description above suits you, then please consider me as your Buyers Agent. I will do a fantastic job for you!!

ABOUT MY BACKGROUND

The early years….
I was born in 1952 in upstate New York in the Finger Lakes region. In the late 1950’s, I moved with my family to the suburbs of the Baltimore – Washington area in Maryland. I remained in the Baltimore – Washington all throughout my school years, and graduated from high school in 1970.

The 1970’s….
I moved to Colorado in 1972 and immediately became involved in the construction industry. By 1976 I had started my own construction company focusing on log home construction, as well as home remodeling. During this decade my two sons were born. My oldest son Jim was born in 1973, and my youngest son Jess was born in 1977.

The 1980’s….
In early 1980, due to economic reasons, I packed up my young family and moved back to the Baltimore-Washington area – at the outskirts of Annapolis, MD. I continued in the construction field and immediately started a remodeling company, which I am proud to say, was very successful! The summer of 1988 was a very special time because my wife and I and our two boys took a six week vacation and traveled around the United States by car. That’s when I discovered Arizona! Flagstaff was especially appealing because it reminded me of my years in Colorado. When we returned to MD after our road trip, we started making plans to move to Flagstaff. It would take four years to bring this plan to fruition.

The 1990’s….
In early 1992, my wife, my youngest son, and I made the move to Flagstaff Arizona! Our oldest son eventually moved out to join us the following year. Initially I continued with remodeling, but it was just to make ends meet as I obtained my Real Estate license. I was a full time Realtor by the end of 1992. I then obtained my Brokers license in 1996. Flagstaff was awesome, but a tough place to make a living, so in 1999, I moved to Chandler, Arizona. I have remained in Chandler ever since! I love it here!

2000 to present…
My two boys still live in Northern Arizona, and I now have two grandchildren with a third one on the way! My real Estate career is doing well, and I love living in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. I have had the good fortune to develop a connection with professional athletes, which has given me considerable experience in the world of luxury homes. I consider myself fortunate to have gained the Real Estate expertise to help homebuyers in virtually every price range.
